ORIGINAL SIN

     Having been steeped in a childhood Catholic background I have come to realize that, metaphysically, many of the religious principles can be interpreted in a perspective differing from the conventional view point and make much more sense. Consider the principle of "original" sin. This conjures up images of being doomed by a blight that you originally had nothing to do with yet you must accept the consequences of. It gives the impression that life is out of your control. Metaphysically, nothing could be further from the truth. The Law of Karma states that what goes around comes around or what ever YOU start YOU must finish...in this life or throughout many. This means that life IS under your control. Simply put, original sin is a pattern or vibration left unresolved from past lives that becomes the desire that pulls you back into life or back on the wheel of incarnation.

     So how does it work? Another law states that like attracts like or birds of a feather stick together. Whatever your pattern is you will be magnetically drawn to the parental lineage that reflects the same desires or patterns. Their habit patterns will, literally, provide an environment that will lead toward producing the same patterns within you. Hence, you work on the same issues or "original sin" as your parents. This is what yields the statement, "the sins of the father are the sins of the son."

     When you have worked through your personal and family issues to the point that they no longer affect you (NOT buried the issue) you will have effectively resolved a part of your own karma (past patterns). This does NOT necessarily mean that this is also true for your family members and those you associate with. They may still be working in the old patterns. Awareness is not necessary to exist in the pattern...only to resolve it. Don't worry. They will find someone else to work it out with. You may move on...you may not. It's your choice!
